STAR Testing Incentive Rewards
Every year as a school we have an opportunity to demonstrate how well we have
mastered the state standards while taking the California Standards Testing.
These scores reflect on our school and our district and we here at Davis
Expect the BEST! To help encourage and reward students with something
tangible for their achievement, we offer a chance to earn a free Spartan Gold
Card or Spartan Green Card. These cards allow for reduced entry fees into home
school events and school activities. The different ways to qualify are listed
below.
Will your name be on the award list next year? It could be; Expect the Best!
Spartan Gold Card Requirement:
● Students score an average of 400 or above
(Advanced) on their four academic core California Standards Tests
Gold Card Winners from 2008-09
Spartan Green Card Requirement:
● Students score an average of between 350 to
399 (Proficient) on their four academic core California Standards Tests
OR
● Student raises average on their four
academic core California Standards Tests an average of one level (Far-Below
Basic to Below-Basic, Below-Basic to Basic) from the year before.
